Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre have a vacancy for an Apprentice in Automotive Mechanics (Heavy Vehicles - Diesel) with our host company based in the Sunshine area.

Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is a Group Training Organisation who employs apprentices and trainees then places them with Host Organisations. We provide support for all apprentices and trainees by way of our mentoring program which fits in through regular visits to the workplace and TAFE.

**Your duties may include**:

- Communicating with vehicle operators on problems
- Repairing, adjusting, maintaining, and testing large automotive vehicles such as buses, trucks, tractors, agricultural machinery, and earthmoving equipment
- Using special instruments to identify mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles, faults in ignition, batteries, speed control, cylinder compression, fuel injection systems, braking mechanisms, wheel alignment, and engine condition
- Repairing and maintaining hydraulic parts of diesel, petrol, or gas engines
- Utilising an array of electric, oxy, MIG and TIG welding, machining, or hand fitting processes to replace or fix faulty parts of vehicles.

**Desirable Requirements**:

- Minimum Year 11 Schooling
- Eagerness to learn to skills
- Positive approach to workplace safety
