The Account Manager is responsible for driving sales of our newspapers through the newsagent, retail, distributor and accommodation channels. You will build and maintain strong relationships and provide a high level of customer support to existing accounts to maintain distribution of Nine publications, as well as actively seeking new business opportunities.
Day to day you will:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key retailers, distributors, and hotels across assigned territories.
- Investigate and report on escalated subscriber/delivery service complaints.
- Meet with distributor/ news-agency purchasers (prior to take-over where necessary), to outline basic Nine retail and distribution requirements
- Monitor product display, branding and signage across assigned territory
- Assist with the performance management of newsagents and general retailers
- Monitor general retailer supplies across assigned territories
- Investigate and report on contract performance issues as required
- Provide point of contact for Circulation team
- Liaise with Logistics Contractors to resolve issues as they arise
- Please note you will be required to have a valid Australian Drivers license for this position._
**Qualifications**
What we would like to see:
- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
- Previous account management, customer service or sales experience
- A good understanding of the newsagent and distribution network
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Customer focus
- Excellent planning and priority setting
- Current drivers licence.
- CRM experience (salesforce) is ideal but not essential
