**The Opportunity**
We are currently looking to hire a Process Piping Designer to join the wider Mining Infrastructure & Project Delivery team in the Newcastle office where you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of project from concept through to commissioning. The projects are predominantly in the minerals processing and power station industry but with the opportunity to work in water, hydrogen, and renewables.
**What you’ll do**:
- Working within a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver a range of process engineering design projects, pipelines, pump stations, and process piping as well as assistance with mechanical and structural design including concrete and steel structures, bridges, and other mine infrastructure
- Be responsible for layout of process plants and process equipment with the ability to take flow sheets and P&IDs and turn them into plant layouts
- Design and model piping systems including pipe supports using 3D modelling software.
- Generate piping design and detail drawings including general arrangements, piping orthographics, isometrics, and pipe support detail drawings.
- Daily use of AutoCAD and a range of 2D and 3D piping and structural packages
- Supporting the wider resources team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents

**What we’ll love about you**:
- Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent)
- Practical experience with AutoCAD (essential), AutoCAD Plant 3D (essential) and Autodesk Advance Steel (preferred)
- Experience with Navisworks, Inventor, and Revit not essential but highly regarded
- Experience in coal processing highly regarded
- Experience in other industrial process piping fields not essential but highly regarded
- Experience executing BIM and 3D modelling project delivery methods
- Experience with pipework detailing and isometrics
- Familiarity with CAD modelling of steel and concrete structures
- Familiarity with working with point cloud surveys would be highly regarded
- Able to work remotely on client’s sites liaising directly with the client to deliver the most appropriate engineering solution
