Big Data Analysts/programmers

We are seeking an experienced the support engineer of the group to perform administration and support activities for our various Hadoop platform.

Experience: 5 + years

Location: Melbourne/Sydney, Australia

Salary package: AUD 100,000 superannuation

Roles and Responsibilities:
Acting as the support engineer of the group to perform administration and support activities for our various Hadoop platform. Main accountabilities are
- Administer and support Big Data clusters including Hortonworks/Cloudera and Opensource Bigdata eco-system.
- Ability to maintain and monitor production clusters.
- Ability to implement the design based on the requirements and architecture decision.
- Ability to identify problem and drive for problem solving.
- Ability to provide technical expertise for new and ongoing initiatives to work with project stakeholder to come up most feasible technical solution.
- Identify, resolve, and/or escalate all issues that threaten the successful delivery of assigned initiatives.
- Good time management and ability to successfully juggle multiple projects at the same time.
- Available to work outside of business hours from time to time to support planned upgrades or restore service in the event of an unplanned outage.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Proven experience with Hadoop Cluster Administration, Configuration, Tuning etc.
- Proven experience working with VMWare.
- Demonstrable Experience - (NiFi, Kafka, Spark, Hbase, Hive, HDFS, Zookeeper, Yarn & Druid etc. - Hadoop components)
- Building and administration of Opensource Bigdata platforms
- Demonstrable operational management experience relevant to support a Bigdata cluster
- UNIX/Linux skills, bash scripting etc.
- R Language, Python, VB Scripting, Hive, Impala, SparkR(2.x), PySpark,Hadoop,Data Bricks
- Good understanding on IPA, AD and networks.
- Strong hands-on exposure to RHEL implementation, Administration and troubleshooting.
