Information Systems Analyst

**The Opportunity as our Information Systems Analyst, you will**: - Identify system issues, managing and escalating where appropriate business information systems management issues effectively to senior management and staff. Act as the tier 1 support and administrator for the National Fire Ant Eradication Program enterprise information systems including the Fire Ant Management System (FAMS), Client and Stakeholder Engagement Solution (Microsoft Dynamics) and the Program's SharePoint site. Investigate, document and analyse information system issues and improvements, including server and/or other equipment upgrades, enhancements to existing software systems and digitalisation requirements for the program. Understand and assist in development of test plans to ensure the delivered solution meets the requirements of the customer. Deploy software application changes for supported computer systems and assist Tier 2 support groups with production issues for supported computer systems when required. Provide technical advice, guidance and assist with planning and coordination to projects, vendors and other business units for software application changes for supported computer systems. Investigate, analyse and resolve system issues that occur in testing environments. Maintain software configuration items for supported computer systems in a configuration management database. Maintain deployment procedures for supported computer systems. Assist with process improvement and cross-skilling and knowledge sharing initiatives. Liaise with developers, functional analysts and support staff to effectively plan and execute testing activities within agreed time frames. Review and self-assess test coverage ensuring traceability, quality assurance and quality completeness for own and others work.Why join the department?
