Bus Aide

We are currently seeking **dedicated and compassionate Bus Aides** to join our student transportation team. In this critical role, you’ll help ensure the **safety, comfort, and well-being** of all students during their daily journeys to and from school.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are patient, caring, and committed to creating a **safe and supportive environment** for all students, including those with additional needs.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist students with safely boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring seatbelts and other safety devices are used correctly.
- Provide hands-on support to students with disabilities, mobility challenges, or special needs—this may include managing **wheelchairs, harnesses**, or other safety equipment.
- Maintain a calm, positive, and **respectful atmosphere** on the bus by monitoring and guiding student behavior.
- Enforce safety procedures and **encourage appropriate conduct** among students during transit.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, school staff, and parents as needed to support a smooth and safe transportation experience.
- Promptly report any safety concerns, incidents, or behavioral challenges to the appropriate school or transportation personnel.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for this role, you must hold or willing to work towards and maintain the following certifications:

- A valid **Working with Children Check** card.
- A current **First Aid Certificate**.
- A compassionate and patient attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with drivers, staff, and families.
- A commitment to student safety and wellbeing.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $31.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
