Bus Aide

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Bus Aides to join our student transportation team. In this critical role, you'll help ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all students during their daily journeys to and from school.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are patient, caring, and committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students, including those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist students with safely boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring seatbelts and other safety devices are used correctly.
• Provide hands-on support to students with disabilities, mobility challenges, or special needs—this may include managing wheelchairs, harnesses, or other safety equipment.
• Maintain a calm, positive, and respectful atmosphere on the bus by monitoring and guiding student behavior.
• Enforce safety procedures and encourage appropriate conduct among students during transit.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, school staff, and parents as needed to support a smooth and safe transportation experience.
• Promptly report any safety concerns, incidents, or behavioral challenges to the appropriate school or transportation personnel.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must hold or willing to work towards and maintain the following certifications:

• A valid Working with Children Check card.
• A current First Aid Certificate.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $31.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

• Working with Children Check (Preferred)
• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
