**Position Information**:
Our vision is to ensure Blairmount Public School is a great place to learn and work. We will maximise student growth through a culture of high expectations, evidence based teaching strategies and exemplary leadership while strengthening connections across the school and community. Blairmount Public School has 450 students in 18 mainstream classes and a Support Unit that consists of two Multicat class and two Autism classes. Our Assistant Principals Curriculum and Instruction work with teachers K-6 to build capacity in the provision of high quality teaching and learning and improve student outcomes in literacy and numeracy. The staff at Blairmount Public School engage in collaborative and reflective practices through Collaborative Learning. The school is future focused and has modern facilities with state of the art technology and resources, including 1 to 1 iPads K-6. **Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria,

1. Demonstrated expertise and proven successful experience in supporting students with disability, which may include relevant qualifications in Inclusion and Special Education.

2. Demonstrated ability to inspire and develop staff at all experience levels, by providing strong leadership through professional learning and reflective practices that promote high quality teaching and learning for students with autism spectrum disorder and students with complex behavioural needs.

3. Strong organisational and administrative skills with high visible leadership, and demonstrated ability to balance classroom teaching with the demands of an executive role.

4. Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to foster strong relationships with families, support agencies and the whole school community to enhance outcomes for all students and promote a culture of inclusion.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
