About the role

Join AGL as a Process Safety Manager

Location: Bayswater Power Station, Muswellbrook, NSW (open to supporting relocation assistance)
Employment Type: Full-time Permanent (Hybrid)

What We’re Looking For- A Senior Engineer or Engineering Manager with strong communication skills across all levels of the organisation.- Someone who can confidently engage with operators and technicians and present to executives.- A professional with technical expertise and a desire to grow in process safety.- A proactive leader who can run meetings, coach others, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities- Support the governance and execution of the Process Safety Management Plan.- Lead and coordinate Management of Change (MOC) activities and SAP administration.- Conduct incident investigations, alarm management reviews, and provide functional safety oversight.- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure safety-critical controls are integrated into asset plans.- Conduct HAZOPs and CHAZOPs for new plant and processes.- Present process safety metrics and progress to senior leadership.-
- Deliver in-house training on process safety, MOC, and technical compliance.

Qualifications and Experience- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.- Experience in utilities, power generation, or large-scale process plants or heavy industry, mining, and oil and gas.- An understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.- Excellent communication and presentation skills.- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.- Experience with SAP, MyHSE, and other technical systems is desirable.
