**A day in the life of an Area Manager**:
- Lead team for effective and efficient branch operations relating to equipment deliveries, transfers, pick-ups, repairs, changeovers, and breakdowns across branch portfolio including daily pre-start meetings.
- Monitor equipment utilisation and drive fleet availability to meet customer demands and optimise fleet utilisation across all the branches under the portfolio.
- Manage our operations to ensure that it provides an exceptional customer experience.
- Manage the performance and identify areas for development of the employees across the branch portfolio and put appropriate plans in action to maximise capability and utilise labour capital across network as needed.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, audit requirements, look for ways to continually improve the performance of the branch portfolio and undertake any additional duties that are within your skill set and safe.
- Equip employees with the relevant knowledge of key branch operations, quality and safety processes and ensure full compliance.
- Demonstrate Safety Leadership by leading and contributing to Coates Hire’s Safety First -Zero Harm safety culture.
- Experience in leading diverse teams across Mt Thorley and Muswellbrook.
- A fully maintained Coates vehicle.
**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Strong ability to problem solve labour, financial and customer problems.
- Strong ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound operational management experience, preferably across multiple sites and reports.
- Strong people management experience.
- Demonstrated sound commercial acumen.
- Experience in the hire industry will be highly regarded, but not essential.
