
Program Support Officer

The role
The Program Support Officer will provide comprehensive and highly organised administrative, business and program support services to the MHAOD Strategy and Planning Branch, CPSS Division, Department of Health. You will use a wide range of systems to process financial, human resource, travel and procurement requests including S4Hana, DSS, QContracts System, Content Manager, MyHR to assist decision-making and meet the needs of the Branch.
Additionally, you will support Branch correspondence processes when required and assist Branch with recruitment initiation, interview environment, concierge and introductory service and liaise with prospective employees to obtain sensitive information as part of the recruitment process. You will develop and maintain effective relationships and networks within the Branch and with other areas of the department including being tactful, maintaining ethical conduct, confidentiality, and client interests.
The successful person
**You will have demonstrated**:
- Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with officers at all levels.
- Administrative support skills and experience including knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the information systems relevant to the business.
- Experience or ability to rapidly acquire skills, and knowledge of departmental budgetary processes and reporting requirements.
- Ability to self-motivate and work autonomously as well as work cooperatively, effectively, and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Deliver work of high quality and accuracy to achieve team outcomes,
- Ability to meet deadlines and establish work priorities to maximise efficiency, work output and the changing needs within the team.
- Experience or ability to rapidly acquire a working knowledge of the procedures and practices relating to the administration of the branch and demonstrate a commitment to quality customer service.
