YMCA is searching for a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Competitive Leader. **THE ROLE**:

- Develop and coordinate the centre's Competition Gymnastics program and classes, ensuring a high standard of training and competition readiness
- Lead and support a team of talented Competition Gym Coaches, fostering their growth and success
- Recruit to build your team and develop them The Y way
- Coach exhilarating gymnastics classes, bringing out the best in our athletes and helping them reach their full potential
- Take on administrative tasks as required, ensuring the smooth operation of the competitive gymnastics program
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and organise competitions, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable experience for gymnasts and spectators
- Uphold safety standards, implementing and promoting best practices in all gymnastics activities
- Foster positive relationships with gymnasts, parents and the broader gymnastics community, representing YMCA with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Undertake administrative tasks as required

**SELECTION CRITERIA**:

- Hold a current Advanced Coaching Accreditation with Gymnastics Australia
- Current Technical Membership with Gymnastics Queensland
- Demonstrated experience in developing and coordinating a successful Competitive Gymnastics program
- Minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar role, with staff supervisory experience
- In-depth knowledge of gymnastics techniques, training methods, and competition requirements
- Passion for the sport of gymnastics and a genuine desire to inspire and develop athletes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with gymnasts, parents and stakeholders
- Strong organisational and administrative skills to handle program coordination and related tasks
- Current Senior First Aid and CPR Certificates, or willingness to obtain them
- Possession or willingness to obtain a Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 prior to commencing
