**_The Role _**
- The Occupational Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for safety culture across the business. Your goal will be making Sonac’s OH&S practices first rate, protecting and safeguarding staff and contractors, ensuring corporate risk management requirements and local regulatory obligations are exceeded through benchmarking, regular support, encouragement, and training to ensure the highest standards of workplace safety. _
- As a key member of the Sonac team, you will lead continuous improvement of OH&S practices whilst supporting general day-to-day operations. From inductions and ongoing training to projects and plant oversite, effective communication skills, a proactive can-do approach, and a genuine ability to influence positive change will set you up for success in this role. _

**Duties**
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing safety management of the Sonac site at Maryborough
- Consult with the leadership team to ensure Risk Management protocols are met or exceeded
- Develop and deliver safety-related training, inductions, and development programs to drive positive safety culture across the business
- Complete regular safety reporting and lead engaging Safety Committee and Management of Change meetings
- Walk the Talk with Sonac Maryborough CAIR values - committed, accountable, innovative, respectful.

**Skills & Experience;**
- Demonstrated occupational health and safety experience in a similar role
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations, and Code of Practice
- Experience in team and project management, including good MS Office skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to influence collaboratively to effect positive change
- A current driver’s license and Q fever immunizations will be required for this role
