**Key responsibilities in this role include**:

- Cultivating learning environments to reflect the different learning dispositions, skill/developmental levels and interests of children
- Working in a collaborative manner with all staff
- Supporting the established relationships with families; and the ‘culture’ of the centre

**Expertise & Knowledge in the following areas is required**:

- Ability to develop warm and meaningful relationships with children
- Child development for 0-6 year olds and current trends in Early Childhood Education
- Relevant legislation and NQF
- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Ability to inspire independent learners

**Experience is also required in**:

- Working with children with additional needs is highly desirable

**Formal Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care

**Other requirements**:

- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
