**The Organisation**

Landcare Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation that supports the landcare community with funding, capacity-building, on-ground projects, information, networking and promotion of landcare achievements.

Landcare is a grassroots movement of groups, organisations and individuals across Australia with a shared vision to protect, enhance or restore the natural environment in their local community through sustainable land management and conservation activities. Landcare enables people to actively care for the natural environment in their community.

**The Role**

This is a multi-faceted, hands-on media and communications role that will see you develop and implement strategic multi-channel PR & communications strategies to raise awareness of the brand.

This is a fantastic time to join the team with lots of exciting initiatives taking place. You will work closely with partners Australia wide, as well as take an active part in launching the national annual conference and awards.

The role has scope to be made your own whilst also working with a strong collaborative team who are deeply passionate and driven.

**The Role**
- Manage delivery of campaigns including the development of the strategy, project plan, communication plan, media plan, media relations and campaign reporting
- Responsible for proactive and responsive media relations
- Provide communications and PR activities for corporate and government partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with media and key stakeholders to improve communication strategies and optimize outcomes
- Generate ideas, create content and manage editorial magazines, newsletters, website and social media
- Prepare media briefing packs for company media spokespeople including media training, key messages, media release, biography and background information document

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in public relations, media, communications, marketing or similar
- Agency experience highly regarded
- Competency in a wide range of communications tools including developing media releases, media briefs, articles, presentations and social media content
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A team player who likes a fast-paced working environment and is passionate about environmental issues
