We have an amazing opportunity for a talented, highly experienced, Category Manager to join a fast-paced retail buying team based in North Ryde. Reporting to the Senior Category Manager you will be responsible for four product categories as part of the Accessories category team.

Key tasks include:

- Driving the category to ensure achievement of budgets: sales, inventory and margin
- Product ranging
- with a large focus on innovation and product development
- Develop effective promotional and marketing campaigns that drive sales and profitability, working closely with the marketing team
- Planning and Inventory Control
- End to end category management
- Review and report weekly sales, inventory and margin results
- Develop merchandise strategies
- Vendor management, including trading term negotiations and promotional funding negotiations
- Category strategy and plan development
- Building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

You must be:

- An end-to-end experienced Category Manager. At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Goal Orientated
- setting objectives and managing challenges
- Strong analytical skills - Intermediate to advanced office skills
- An expert in category management, from financial analysis, inventory control and vendor management
- Experienced in merchandise layout
- Outstanding people management skills with previous people management experience

Your demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations and your ability to conduct range reviews and negotiate supplier terms are essential. You will possess a minimum of 5 years category management experience in a fast moving, high turnover retail environment.

You will be involved in creative areas of the business through to contributing to developing both product and product range.

Your ability to manage speed to market, sales and margin growth and contribute to marketing initiatives will be evident through your proven ability to manage relationships.
