Our client is a large federal government agency. They are seeking an EL1 Assistant Director - Hypercare, to join on a long term contracting basis in the Service Design Planning branch, and take a team leadership role in a new Hypercare team following the release of a new core enterprise system.
- 12 month contract plus 12 month extensions
- Richmond or Geelong based, with 3 days in the office per week
- Daily rate of $602.55 plus super per day
**The role**
As an Assistant Director, Hypercare, you will play a lead role in the Hypecare function and team, and oversee support for major and BAU production releases. This will include engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders, and leading teams in a complex Agile environment. Responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:
- Managing the day issues and requirements of the team
- Interpreting complex data and developing reports and documentation detailing complex issues for senior leaders and the team
- Setting up Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) and lead complex collaboration meetings involving large groups of stakeholders, keeping stakeholders informed and drawing them towards solutions
- Undertaking performance assessments and supporting the leadership team with performance management of their teams
- Supporting the development of team culture, improving processes and developing ways of working
- Developing Jira queries, or others via MS Tools, to support issues investigation
**About you**
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous lead experience in hypercare, release management or similar, ideally in large, complex government or corporate environments
- Strong project management skills to support release prioritization work
- Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams that may contain people with conflicting opinions and view points
- Ability to analyse data across different data streams to deliver reports
- Strong Stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Previous experience using Jira and confluence
