**About the Assignment**

The primary objective of the this role is to work with the other members to provide clear analysis for all operational areas, ensuring analysis for all areas provides a clear understanding of: Business financial performance; Financial Budgets and Forecasts are aligned with planned activity; Financial impacts of key business decisions; Individual cost drivers

**Core accountabilities include though are not limited to**:
**Business partnering**
- Act as finance business partner to the offshore assets, supporting in financial analysis and decision making.
- Responsible for day to day understanding of the offshore assets financial activities and performance.
- Support cost reduction / optimization initiatives.

**Joint venture management**
- Recognize impact of Joint Venture equities and obligations on asset financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with terms of relevant Joint Operating Agreements.
- Prepare annual WP&B and AFE for operating activities (Opex, C&FA) for the Joint Venture.
- Provide input into WP&B and AFE for projects for the Joint Venture.
- Collaborate with Cost Control team for AFE generation.
- Coordinate the creation or modification of JV master data.
- Support generation of JV cash calls by Financial Services JV team and approve once prepared.
- Provide required inputs for monthly JV financial reporting obligations
- Maintain relevant financial models (e.g. PCO, PSC, PHA/FSA).
- Coordinate JV audits as required (inbound & outbound). Manage responses or close out actions.
- Participate in, or support, JV operating committee.

**Cost management & reporting**
- Request required master data (WBS, etc).
- Prepare analysis and commentary for monthly results, for feed into Division Performance reporting.
- Prepare asset-level forecast in line with Group and Division timelines and requirements.
- Provide input to Divisional management reporting requirements to support financial understanding and decision making
- Review and challenge allocation of costs into the Offshore assets.
- Identify and implement process improvements in planning, reporting and cost allocation processes.
- Ownership of relevant departmental cost centres. Monitor residual costs.

**Corporate reporting**
- Prepare and support preparation of statutory financial statements for year-ends
- Support corporate reporting requirements, as requested.
- Preparation of monthly accruals.
- Advise on and prepare one-off / ad hoc journals.
- Perform required financial analysis for the offshore assets.
- Provide asset-specific commentary to feed to monthly Asset Performance Review (APR).
- Provide input to monthly flash results for EVP reporting.
- Key stakeholders: Departmental Managers, Superintendents, Financial Controllers, Finance Manager, Financial Services_

**About You**
- Qualifications in finance, commerce or accounting with CPA or CA
- Advanced analytical skills in MS Excel
- High level experience in SAP
- The ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance professionals
- Flexible, resilient, discreet, quick with thought, relaxed and able to adapt and think outside of the box.
