Who you are
To be a successful IKEA co-worker you will have a strong customer focus, are confident about approaching people and are driven by finding the best solution for their needs. You will be enthusiastic about working with others in a team and have the ability to work in a fast paced, hands on environment. Your personal values reflect those of IKEA, and you have a true passion for home furnishings and customer service. As our store trades 7 days a week you may be rostered between the hours of 7am-9:30pm, or 6am-9:30pm for IKEA Food. You are required to work a mix of early morning, day and evening shifts. You also have availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends (Saturday and Sunday). All roles require manual handling and are physically demanding as you will be on your feet all day.
**Responsibilities**:
- Sales - Combine your positive attitude and exceptional customer service to provide product advice and memorable in-store experiences to our customers.
- Customer - The friendly face of IKEA, you may be greeting our customers at the store entry, helping customers with returns or home delivery, or servicing customers at our checkouts.
- Food - Enthusiastic, passionate about food and retail, and love connecting with others, you will be responsible for cash handling, customer service, maintaining the customer restaurant and/or Swedish Food Market, or preparing and serving meals to our hungry customers.
