TBWA\Melbourne is looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis

Working closely with the Client Accounting Manager, you will be delivering billings and job reconciliations as well as assisting the wider finance team as necessary.

This role is suited to a junior/graduate accountant looking to kick start their finance career. We are looking for a team player with high attention to detail and a passion to learn and develop in a professional & collaborative environment.

**Responsibilities**:
Supporting the Client Accounting Manager:

- Create estimates to clients (Retainer Fee, Pre-Bills, Concept Development Fee)
- Matching client purchase orders to company estimates
- Releasing company estimates in BCC
- Issue invoices to clients upon internal approval and dispatch to client
- Monitor accounts receivable aging
- Follow up overdue invoices
- Preparation and reconciliation of client Pre-Bills
- Record client payment receipts
- Maintain and update client jobs & job numbers
- Assisting in job closes, recoveries & journals

Supporting other Finance department functions as required, including, but not limited to:

- Month end close duties and reporting
- Timesheet analysis and reporting
- Creating journals and payments
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- SBOX testing
- Assist Accounts Payable as necessary (processing invoices, set up suppliers)
- Assist finance team with ad-hoc financial reports and analysis

**Who you are**:

- Team player who is happy to pitch in wherever required, but also take responsibility for their function and to work autonomously
- Strong attention to detail
- Pride in the importance of the finance function
- Strong communication skills
- Motivation, enthusiasm and positivity to learn and develop in a professional and collaborative environment
- Accounting experience working in a small to medium sized finance department is an advantage but not required
- Degree qualified
- Solid IT/systems skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Prior experience working on BCC or Hyperion would be an advantage but not required
