**About the role**
As Lead Analyst, Security Advisory, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of AUSTRACs systems and data. You will be a key member of the Technology Platforms and Solutions Operational Security team within the Innovation and Technology Solutions (ITS) branch. In this role, you will collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure that the AUSTRAC ITS branch can meet the security policy requirements and support projects and operational teams in maintaining a strong security posture. **What are we looking for**

Required
- Strong understanding of security event analysis and network traffic/threat analysis
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Sentinel, Splunk ES or possess other SIEM expertise
- Understanding of or experience with the Protective Security Policy Framework
- Experience working in and understanding cyber security within a federal government context
- Desirable_
- Security degree majoring in Information Security or an associated technical discipline
- Certifications such as
- CompTIA Security,
- (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practioner (CASP+) certification
- Experience working in DevSecOps
- Knowledge and/or experience working with Azure and AWS security frameworks, particularly with regards to PROTECTED environments

**The key duties of this position includes**:

- Deliver security analytics, analysis, and audits across a broad range of security data sources
- Prioritise the security assurance of AUSTRAC’s information
- Deliver information security consulting services to AUSTRAC teams and projects
- Work within the broader agency security requirements to ensure collaborative security outcomes
- Maintain a high awareness of external and insider threats and responding accordingly
- Develop and maintain Information Security policies and procedures
- Lead Information Security projects and initiatives, including project scope, resource requirements and outcome of deliverables
