John Fawkner Private Hospital is currently seeking experienced Theatre Technicians to join our Perioperative Unit on a part time or full time basis. As a member of our team you will play an important role, in providing high quality service to theatres and other clinical areas. We offer a supportive environment where our teams work closely to achieve the best patient outcomes and high standards of care. **Key responsibilities will include**: - Delivering excellent service and care to patients - Liaise within a multi-disciplinary team - Proven ability to work well within a team - Ensuring patient and staff safety - Sound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe use practices - Proven troubleshooting skills - Possess organisational skills and complete documentation to a high standard - Will adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient, effective and economic running of the peri operative service. **About us** John Fawkner Private Hospital is located in the north-west suburbs of Melbourne. With 186 registered beds, an emergency department, 5 operating theatres, 12 bed Critical Care Complex and a busy day surgery/endoscopy unit the hospital provides a wide range of services to its community. The hospital’s surgical specialities includes - orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, plastic surgery, ENT, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, maxilla-facial and gynaecology, as well as general medicine, oncology and cardiology. **Essential Criteria**: - Minimum 12 months experience as a Theatre Technician or experience within a hospital environment - Working with Children check - Commitment to Quality Patient Care - Compliance with ACQSHC National standards - Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Works well independently and within a team - Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Operating Theatre Technical Support) Desirable **Why Healthscope?** We care about your career at Healthscope.
