- The role will operate within genU’s Community Home Support Services division, which was established to facilitate innovative, client-centred programs with a focus on building skills that will assist in achieving our participant's goals
- Assist clients in undertaking a range of activities of daily living including personal and self-care, food preparation, eating, dressing and maintenance of personal hygiene, domestic duties and other tasks as directed.
- Assisting in community access through transport, shopping, and social outings.
- Undertake the support role with respect and acknowledgement of the person’s’ abilities and strengths.
- Provide clients with opportunities for personal growth and skill development in line with Support Plans and directions from the coordination team.
- Perform personal support work with professional integrity and ensure privacy and confidentiality of client information.

**About You**

Some of your main responsibilities:

- Using the principles of Person-Centred Active Support, assist clients in undertaking a range of daily living activities including personal and self-care, food preparation, eating, dressing and personal hygiene maintenance, domestic duties and other tasks as directed.
- Undertake the support role with respect and acknowledgement of the person’s’ abilities and strengths.
- Provide clients with opportunities for personal growth and skill development in line with Support Plans and directions from the coordination team
- Perform personal support work with professional integrity and ensure privacy and confidentiality of client information

**You will also meet the below essential requirements**:
A current and valid full driver’s license, comprehensive insurance and a reliable registered motor vehicle.
- Current First Aid Certificate with up-to-date CPR.
- Current Medication Administration (HLTAAP001 and HLTHPS006 or CHCSS00070)
- Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Current Working with Vulnerable Persons Check with NDIS endorsement or willingness to obtain.
- Current and Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Certificate 3 or greater in Disability or equivalent.
