Are you an experienced Domestic Assistant with exceptional relationship-building skills and a passion for helping people improve their quality of life?

If so, then come join our Home Care Services Team and help support our clients in our Eastern & Adelaide Hills Region.

**About the role**

As a Domestic Assistant you will provide pro-active and person centred domestic services and support to assist clients to remain living in their own homes.

Duties in this role include but are not limited to:

- dusting and polishing of furniture
- mopping, sweeping and vacuuming of floors, removal of rubbish
- cleaning bathrooms and toilets
- laundry services including distribution of clean laundry/ personal
attire
- bed making

You will build relationships with our clients helping to understand their individual needs, goals and aspirations. You will also promote and enable our healthy and active ageing approach.

A motor vehicle allowance is also payable for travel between clients.

**About you**

We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
- previous experience in a domestic assistant role that didn’t have direct supervision
- ** current and unrestricted driver’s licence & own registered and insured car**:

- first Aid certificate
- ability to organise own workload and to complete tasks within the time allocated
- impressive interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- a good level of English literacy including the ability to read written instructions and speak in a manner that older people can understand
- a basic understanding of the requirements to support clients living with dementia including those who display challenging behaviours
- a basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards as are applicable to the role
