**About the role**
We are looking for an experienced Counsellor to join our Adolescent, Young Adult and Family Counselling team in a permanent part time role. Working as part of the Paediatric Services team, you'll provide high-quality counselling to young people and support community-based youth initiatives, including group programs and interventions.
This is a collaborative role, working closely with other clinicians in the adolescent and young adult space. You will be well supported by experienced team members with formal supervision provided. Based primarily at our co-location site at Headspace Melton, the role may also involve travel across other Western Health Sites to deliver evidence-based care to adolescents, young adults and families in the Brimbank, Melton and Moorabool regions.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Provide assessment, treatment and managemetn of clietnts referred fro counselling to the AYA health program.
- Participate in case allocation, review and planning meetings in order to prioritise and monitor referrals, demand management and other case co-ordination issues
- Develop an intervention, preventative, educational and health promotion focus wihtin the framework and philopsophy of Allied Health.
**About you**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Eligibility for membership of professional representative body dependent on qualification
- Demonstrated experience in therapeutic service delivery in the area of adolescent, young adults and / or family work
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
