**The Opportunity**

Are you passionate about arts, culture and heritage and thrive on creating unforgettable experiences and meaningful community connections? The City of Perth is looking for a dynamic **City Culture Project Officer** to lead vibrant, city-wide programs that celebrate our rich history and diverse communities.

In this exciting role, you will be at the forefront of delivering the Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage Festival, the City’s flagship celebration of Perth’s unique stories, people, and places. You will work closely with local communities to bring ideas to life, forge strong partnerships, and make a lasting impact on the cultural landscape of our city.

Reporting to the Coordinator Cultural Heritage Services within our City Culture team, your responsibilities would primarily include:

- Drive the development, planning and coordination of the City of Perth’s Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage Festival;
- Lead the planning and delivery of culturally diverse events, partnerships, and strategic projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;
- Deliver the Festival in line with City project management standards, ensuring effective planning, stakeholder coordination, compliance, and risk management; and
- Provide supervision and guidance to the Festival Support Officer and other staff in the development and delivery of the Festival.

**About You**

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

- Experience in cultural program and project management;
- Experience in community focused event management and coordination including promoting programs, events and initiatives;
- Knowledge of cultural heritage and local history principles and practices; and
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to build meaningful partnerships, including with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

**Eligibility**

To be eligible to work for us, you will need to demonstrate:

- A current ‘C’ class Australian drivers’ licence; and
