The Infrastructure and Assets Unit within our Infrastructure and Operations Alliance ensures Perth, as the capital city, is presented to a high standard and is recognised as a world-class liveable city. The Unit is responsible for the design, project delivery, and ongoing maintenance and management of assets such as roads, buildings, bridges, and streetscapes.

The Electrical Team is responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of electrical assets and electrical projects within the City. To keep the City of Light shining brightly, the team maintains over 3,500 streetlights and delivers approximately $6 million of lighting infrastructure upgrades each year as well as the City’s award-winning annual Christmas decorations project.

**About the Position**

In your role as the Electrical Maintenance Officer, you will support the City by:

- Working with contractors to maintain faults on lighting and electrical assets across the City.
- Undertaking procurement for electrical maintenance works and contracts.
- Developing, reviewing, and managing of electrical maintenance operational budget.
- Collaborating with project managers and internal stakeholders, assisting with planning and project documentation for electrical projects including for the Christmas Program.
- Providing specialist technical comment and design advisory input on new external electrical infrastructure that will impede on existing electrical assets across the City.
