**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The role requires the successful applicant to demonstrate experience in effectively managing projects, which may include training courses, stakeholder engagement, procurement, contracts, RTO compliance requirements and implementation of program related activities.
Applicants for the role should have demonstrated experience in:
- using a range of learning technologies and learning management systems
- development of training materials for both face-to-face and online training.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and delivery of National Plan training, including ongoing review and update to ensure training is appropriate and relevant to the changing needs of the marine pollution response environment. This includes:
- Lead and direct the design, development, delivery and evaluation of training programs and resources.
- Management of multiple projects and the development of e-Learning and blended learning training courses, ensuring best practice in adult learning.
- Management of various stakeholders including engagement, networking, and relationship development/maintenance, both internally and externally.
- Identify training gaps based on industry trends and lead the development of National Plan training to meet current and future challenges.
- Lead the management of procurement, tender and contract processes for training-related services, including venue hire and training service delivery.
- Manage procurement of the training services in line with relevant policy and legislative requirements.
- Manage the development of policies and procedures for training support and services provided by the Learning and Development team.
- Manage the day-to-day operations and progress of the Response learning and development team, including team workload and allocation of tasks.
- Implement and maintain a continuous improvement framework to capture lessons learned and identify current and future training requirements.
- Demonstrated technical skills in MS Office, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams eLearning platforms and VETtrak.
- Commitment to the AMSA Code of Conduct and Values and demonstrate professional behaviours.
- Be available to work as part of an incident management team in response to emergency incidents.
- Other duties as required.
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in adult education, training, regulatory compliance, or related fields.
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Demonstrated experience and management of design, development, and review of competency-based training.
- Demonstrated knowledge of emergency management (or ability to acquire these skills).
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Australasian Inter-service Incident Management System (or ability to acquire these skills).
