We are looking for an appropriately qualified and talented Assistant Planner to join our team. You will play a pivotal role on large-scale projects from 1st principles to project close-out. We are a fast-paced and growing company, looking for passionate people that thrive on success and take pride in the quality of their work. What you’ll do:
- Contribute to producing and maintaining quality construction programmes for large-scale, high-profile construction projects
- Utilise key systems, namely; Asta PowerProject, Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project
- Contribute to managing daily planning and reporting activities alongside the project teams and client
- Progress report against programmes, including performance and productivity, milestone projections and critical path / float analysis
- Drive change and assist in implementing new software and methods of analysing programme data
- Coordinate programme revision and updates as required
- Manage as-built records for projects
- Change and delay management
- Operate in office and on site
What you’ll bring:
- A passion for the construction industry and project controls
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- 3 - 5+ years’ full lifecycle construction experience on large scale projects with a local Tier 1 or 2 commercial builder
- Working knowledge and understanding of construction projects including the pre-construction phase and services through to handover
- Exposure to construction planning in an intermediate capacity
- Knowledge of construction and planning concepts, principles, techniques and relevant processes
- Moderate-to-strong proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and related software and systems
- Moderate-to-strong proficiency with PRISM and Power BI would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Well-developed interpersonal skills across consultation, facilitation and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated and able to work well both within a team and autonomously
- Advanced time management and organisational skills
This role is paying between AUD 80,000 to AUD 100,000 excluding Superannuation.
