**Your New Role**:
The Risk & Compliance Manager - Retail is a Second Line of Defence position which will provide advice, support and challenge to management and staff to support management of Australian Unity’s key compliance obligations and operational risks. The Risk & Compliance Manager will also contribute to the ongoing continual enhancement of Australian Unity’s compliance and risk frameworks, policies and processes.

The Risk & Compliance Manager - Retail is an important role for the Retail division, required to build on the existing compliance and risk frameworks to ensure compliance with a complex and varied regulatory environment and the ongoing uplift in risk capability. While collocated with Retail staff, and as part of the Retail Risk & Compliance team, the role will report to the Head of Risk & Compliance - Retail, (a role reporting through the General Manager Legal, Risk & Compliance - Retail to the General Counsel, Group Governance Services). The role will work closely not only with key management within Retail, but also with compliance and risk personnel within Group Governance Services.

**Your New Role Looks Like This**:

- Provide robust second line of defense services for Retail with a focus on risk management, compliance and regulatory obligations within our Banking business.
- Promote a high quality, robust culture of compliance and risk that supports the achievement of strategic and operational objectives of Retail.
- Coordinate the delivery of Retail’s Regulatory Change Management process and assist the Bank in meeting its regulatory 2 of 3 change agenda.
- Assist Senior Management on lodgements or respond to requests from ASIC, APRA, AFCA and other organisations.

**About You**:

- 5 years’ post-graduate experience in risk, compliance and/or audit roles
- Previous compliance experience from within a financial services environment, particularly banking
- Experience in the design and implementation of compliance frameworks
- Exceptional organizational skills, stakeholder management, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law, compliance or related fields is an advantage
