The Opportunity
Cleveland Heights Retirement Living is a wonderful retirement living community with 130+ independent living units & apartments, located in a quiet residential street in Cleveland. Joining the team as our Maintenance Gardener, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, upkeep and gardening tasks around our retirement village. Working closely with the Community Manager and fellow team members, you will ensure the overall village is well-maintained and presentable. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, a mix of hands-on light repairs, getting their hands dirty gardening and loves working in a small team.
This opportunity is a permanent full-time working Monday to Friday 8-4pm

You will
- Attend to various maintenance requests around the village (basic domestic repair tasks)
- Be responsible for the maintenance of all village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks (e.g high-pressure cleaning, smoke alarm checks and bins etc.)
- Use our system app to log, track and record the progress of jobs completed
- Assist around the village by setting up for functions and driving our minibus
- Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team

What you'll bring
- Skilled in domestic repair tasks and/or gardening tasks (e.g using tools, painting, mowing etc.)
- A genuine interest in learning new skills, being outdoors and hands-on who will enjoy chatting with residents
- Valid driver's licence (required)
- Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
- Two COVID-19 Vaccinations up-to-date (required)
