**About The Role**:
Ready to elevate your career? Compare the Market is searching for a talented Strategic Communications Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you’ll serve as a key ambassador, supporting our public relations team to craft and implement innovative strategies that advocate for Australian consumers.
Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll spearhead timely and impactful cross-channel campaigns that highlight our cost-of-living research and economic insights. Partnering closely with the Strategic Communications Manager, you’ll be instrumental in executing and delivering successful earned media and owned channel strategies, directly contributing to our key performance goals.
**What You’ll Do**:
- Utilize both internal and external data to design and deliver compelling press materials and insightful whitepaper research reports.
- Build and enhance positive connections with key media contacts, ensuring streamlined pitch outreach and securing premier media opportunities.
- Provide briefings and training to our expert team and step in as a spokesperson when needed.
- Develop and implement impactful corporate communications materials for B2B channels, including LinkedIn.
- Play a pivotal role in our Government Relations activities through effective liaison, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.
- a close eye on media coverage, reporting on issues and opportunities promptly.
- Contribute to innovative ideas and encourage cross-channel collaboration to expand awareness through both traditional and emerging communication channels.
- Be ready to take on other relevant and reasonable tasks as needed to meet our operational goals.
What You’ll Bring:
- A formal qualification in journalism, communications, public relations or a relevant field.
- At least five years of media relations experience in a large organisation and/or customer-facing brand.
- A genuine interest in finance topics and a desire to help consumers better navigate their options. A good understanding of the comparison and finance industries would be an advantage.
- Ability to ideate, source, write and place stories within the media
- Experience and enthusiasm for turning complicated topics/research/analysis into more easily digestible messages for consumers.
- Familiar working with media monitoring platforms/providers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to form close working and professional relationships within cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an unrivalled eye for detail.
- Strong project management skills to manage schedules, deadlines and priorities.
