**About the Role**

We are looking for a customer focused individual who can establish and maintain relationships with customers and deliver a positive customer experience to ensure customer retention. The primary role of this position is to facilitate the effective movement of Northline’s customer’s international freight.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Manage and deliver excellent customer service to a portfolio of clients.
- Manage import using CargoWise
- Arrange bookings with shipping lines, co loaders and agents to ensuring shipments are executed in the most cost/time efficient manner.
- Monitor and update shipment status reports.
- Respond to queries from overseas offices, suppliers and clients.
- Support the sales and management team.
- Order management to a portfolio of clients
- Assist in the preparation / negotiation of rates and quotations with customers.

**To be successful in the role you will have**:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience, with specialised knowledge of the Global Freight Forwarding Industry.
- Previous exposure to the procedures and steps that need to be carried out to move cargo on an international scale.
- Customer service experience in freight forwarding.
- Import air and sea experience.
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of computer literacy and experience in using CargoWise
- Ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, agents, staff, and all stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Be able to pick up the phone and make calls accordingly.
