While headquartered in Melbourne Australia, we have a global reach with dedicated ecommerce sites serving Australia, UK, US, Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, UAE, Ireland and Canada. We are a vertically integrated ecommerce pure-play trading exclusively through our own websites. We have our own digital based print and production facilities in Melbourne and the UK backed by in house devs, design, marketing, product development, engineering (mechanical and mechatronics), and customer service teams. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer you will be responsible for the management of our compliance and risk management programmes. This includes providing effective and efficient compliance, risk analysis and advice, especially relating to: - Consumer Law - Australia and international jurisdictions - Product Safety Standards - Australia and international jurisdictions - Privacy Legislation - Australia and international jurisdictions - Intellectual Property Management - Management of internal control mechanisms and risk management Your responsibilities will include: - Maintain robust policies and procedures to ensure the business meets its compliance obligations - Provide risk management and compliance perspective on project teams, including new product development - Provide ongoing compliance training to the wider business - Providing advice to the business to facilitate awareness and enhance conformity with their obligations and to manage risk - Monitoring conformity of the organisation’s compliance and risk management framework - systems, controls, legislation, licences, regulatory and industry group policies and industry best practice - Monitoring and maintaining the organisation’s registers including regulatory obligations, contracts, incidents, complaints and breaches - Managing on going product testing requirements - Providing periodic and ad hoc reporting to the Management Committee - Monitoring, interpreting and communicating changes to legislation that impacts the business and its operations - Assessing and mitigating operational risk through the development and maintenance of business continuity plans.
