Udaya is a large Indian/Asian retail business with 4 retail stores around Sydney. Commitment to service is a key aspect of our business and we are seeking self-driven Customer and Storeroom Assistants who can oversee a broad range of our day to day customer and storage related activities and commitments at our Liverpool store.

**Position purpose**:
Undertake storage related duties to assist in the operation of the Company’s retail function.

**Main tasks**:

- Undertake stocktake activities
- Operate specialised equipment as required such as forklift and pallet jack
- Assist in performing quality checks on equipment and inventory
- Receive and process stock/ products from loading/ receiving dock
- Unload, label and store delivered/ received goods
- Perform store inventory controls
- Perform general store room duties
- Check received goods against delivery dockets and invoices ensuring that all goods are accounted for
- Communicate and cooperate with all employees
- Attend to customer services duties at the the counter and store aisles from time to time
- Report any discrepancies that may arise
- Comply with all procedures and rules
- Unwrap, wrap, arrange and sort goods on pallets
- Arrange goods on the shelves from pallets as required
- Provide products needed for each aisle as per store requirements
- Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and safety of the storeroom
- Observe work health and safety requirements at all times
- Perform adhoc duties as directed including assisting with other retail/ supermarket related functions.

- Fulfill any other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required

- Ability to work under pressure
- Organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

**Salary**: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Storeroom: 1 year (preferred)
