As part of their search engine marketing team you will play an important role developing, creating, executing & optimising paid search campaigns across Google & Microsoft.

With the support of a SEM Lead, the SEM Analyst will operate as part of a larger team, with interactions with key stakeholders across various aspects of the business, from marketing, finance, tech/IT & the Trading Desk. Strong communication skills are essential, as well as

the ability to take complex concepts & processes & explain them to a non-technical audience.

A background in paid search or digital marketing is essential, and a thorough understanding of how paid search works, relevant tools & platforms (ie bid management tools) is also key.

**Core Accountabilities**:
Ensure ongoing effectiveness of paid search by maintaining a solid understanding of how other digital marketing channels work, the metrics they use to report conversions/sales, the different tracking methodologies used, & how they differ/compare to paid search

Clearly communicate & articulate to stakeholders across the business how paid search works, the value it delivers to the business, & how the investment in paid search marketing helps to drive growth

Maintain & develop relationships with external organisations such as Google, Microsoft to ensure that their brand is at the forefront of paid search developments, ensuring our campaigns adhere to engine best practices etc

Monitor campaign performance, ensuring campaigns are optimised ongoing and providing recommendations for improvement

Utilisation of strong analytical skills to understand key SEM metrics such as cost per sale, ROI, conversion rates, impression shares etc

Strong understanding of the impact of changing various SEM metrics increasing/decreasing bids, adjusting budgets, changing keyword match types etc on the overall campaign performance metrics (revenue/sales/quotes etc

**About You**:
With several years search engine experience under your belt you may be ready to move from agency to focus on one brand. Or keen to join a large enterprise with excellent career scope

It's essential you bring a sound understanding of the digital advertising space, with experience in a relevant role e.g. search marketing/performance, background at agency trading desk

Proven experience in the understanding and use of technologies associated with targeted digital advertising, the display environment and ad networks, DSPs, online measurement, ad operations and delivery

Knowledge of search bid management tools

Strong analytical skills and demonstrated aptitude for campaign reporting and insights

Strong numerical skills & a high degree of competency in understanding & calculating metrics such as CPA, ROI, conversion rates etc

Ability to manage client campaigns and rapidly learn and adjust to new concepts, technologies and capabilities

Ability to genuinely add value to the thinking around both the execution of digital advertising and the broader digital marketing space

Bring a Passion for remaining up to date on digital and technology trends

Be a confident communicator with demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and external suppliers at all levels
