**The Opportunity**

We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager - Quality & Continuous Improvement to join Visy Packaging. Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Packaging, this is a key senior leadership role with national scope.

You will be responsible for setting the strategy and direction for quality across the division. This includes ensuring consistent standards across substrates (Plastics, Glass, Cans and Fibre), driving lean practices, and overseeing technical improvement projects that enhance customer experience, compliance, and product conformance.

Working closely with General Managers, quality and technical teams, and key stakeholders, you will ensure alignment of quality systems with operational goals, and that customer, regulatory, and business expectations are consistently exceeded.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement a divisional quality and continuous improvement strategy aligned with Visy’s business objectives.
- Ensure consistency of quality systems and customer experience across all Packaging business units.
- Lead GMP, compliance, and food safety practices across the network.
- Champion a culture of excellence across a high-performing quality and continuous improvement team, comprising three direct reports and over 40 indirect contributors across multiple sites.
- Oversee major improvement initiatives and critical customer response projects.
- Provide leadership to cross-functional quality and technical teams across multiple substrates.
- Monitor product conformance and quality reporting, identifying trends and driving action.
- Ensure alignment of specifications with manufacturing capability.
- Lead customer engagement on technical and quality matters.
- Drive lean manufacturing and data-driven decision-making practices.
- Work closely with suppliers to manage non-conformance and support innovation.

**What You Will Bring to the Team**
- Extensive senior leadership experience in quality management within manufacturing.
- Proven experience driving strategic improvement across multi-site, multi-product environments.
- Strong understanding of GMP, ISO, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing-related fields.
- Lean and continuous improvement experience with strong data analytics capability.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
- Ability to influence across a complex matrix and deliver measurable outcomes.

This role involves national travel and may require flexible hours including some weekends.
