We are a leading business specialising in high-quality blinds, curtains, and other window coverings. Our commitment is to provide exceptional customer service and a tailored experience for each client. As we grow, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team.
The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing professional customer service and administrative support. This role is integral in maintaining the smooth operation of our showroom and supporting management, production, and installation teams. A basic understanding of sales and our product range is essential for assisting customers effectively.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Reception & Administrative Duties:
- Handle front-desk activities including greeting clients, answering calls, and directing inquiries to the appropriate department.
- Manage daily paperwork, including printing documents as requested by management and production teams.
- Confirm bookings and appointments throughout the week, ensuring all details are recorded accurately.
- Perform stocktake on fabrics and other materials available in the showroom.
- Process card payments from clients and write up receipts for cash payments.
- Maintain accurate records and compile daily reports for management.
Production Support:
- Print required documents for the production team at the start of each day.
- Check with the production team to monitor job progress and ensure timelines are being met.
- Follow up with the production team to ensure work is proceeding smoothly, providing status updates to the management team.
Installation Coordination:
- Ensure payment is received from clients before confirming any installation appointments; cancellations will occur if payment is not completed.
- Confirm installation details with clients, ensuring that all specifications and arrangements are clear.
Customer Service & Aftercare:
- Follow up with customers and suppliers to ensure satisfaction and timely delivery of services.
Sales Support:
- Utilise basic sales knowledge to engage with clients and provide information about our blinds and curtains range.
- Assist clients in selecting products and provide recommendations based on their needs.
- Work closely with the sales team to support their efforts and ensure a seamless customer experience.
**Qualifications**:
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the home decor or window coverings industry.
- Basic knowledge of blinds, curtains, or similar products is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in handling payments, including card processing and cash transactions.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate daily reports.
**Compensation**:
- Competitive hourly wage.
- Attractive commission structure for assisting in sales.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $52,900.00 - $60,000.00 per year
