Talent International is searching for an experienced **Data Analyst** to join our client, a large utility company. This role is based in **Fortitude Valley** on a 12-month contract basis.

**About the role**:
You'l be responsible for the maintenance of existing reports and dashboards, and the development of new reporting solutions that measure business performance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide expertise in delivering Power BI reporting solutions
- Provide analytical and data visualisation skills
- Support the configuration of existing systems to simplify and improve the generation of meaningful information
- Develop monthly executive and board report
- Develop improvement recommendations for existing systems or reports, that result in improved data quality and the generation of more meaningful management information
- Integrate new data sources into reporting to improve insights
- Ensure effective documentation and knowledge management is in place for new and existing reporting processes
- Work with other data and reporting analysts across the client to share learnings and continually improve the effective use of data across the client
- Positively promote and actively role model the client's values to support the delivery of our services

**Requirements**:
Technical:

- Demonstrated knowledge of modern management information systems, including the maintenance of data integrity across the data lifecycle
- Experienced transforming data into valuable insights, producing reports and analysis from management information
- Experienced producing Power BI reporting, including the use of SQL, DAX and M code to query, model or transform data
- Knowledge of MS Power Platform and Sharepoint useful, but not essential

Desirable:

- 5+ years of relevant experience
- A strong quality orientation when producing reports or analysis
- Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail and a drive to deliver
- Maintain and move rapidly and seamlessly between 'big picture' vision and detail/tactical level work plans
