**Recoveries Specialist**:
NSW - Sydney CBD Workers Compensation Full Time

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

As part of our diverse team based in **Sydney**, you will help make a positive impact on someone’s life every day. You will feel great satisfaction knowing your talent and hard work has a purpose.

You will be responsible for handling and managing the process of recovering expense from liable third parties after a workplace injury has occurred.

This will be a **Full-Time 12 Month Secondment** position based in the **Sydney CBD **office, with flexibility to work from home.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Proactively identify and effectlive manage Section 151Z recoveries
- Review and provide advice about ongoing strategic management in relation to recoveries to all stakeholders
- Work to identify situations where someone other than the employer or the injured worker may be responsible for the injury
- Pursue recovery action against responsible third parties
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of identified recoveries
- Ensure recovery claims management is in accordance with legislation, regulations and Employers Mutual/ icare policies and procedures

**ABOUT YOU**
- Excellent understanding of the _Workers Compensation Act 1987 (NSW, the Workplace Injury Management & Workers Compensation Act 1998 (NSW), Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Bill 2012, _and the associated regulations and guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organisational skills to manage various aspects of each recovery process efficiently
- A background in finance is desirable but not essential
