**About the role**
Reporting to the Director of Artistic Health, the Performance Lifestyle Advisor is responsible for delivering strategies to ensure that The Australian Ballet Dancers are supported to strive for success in their art form and life. This role provides the highest level of career, education, lifestyle management and transition advice to improve and enhance their performance capabilities and wellbeing.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Support and advise Dancer's on a case management basis including; career development advice, educational advice, personal development, conduct & professionalism, delivery of training courses, and transition services.
- Engage and collaborate with the Artistic Director and Ballet Staff to identity the key performance lifestyle factors for progression and performance, then develop and implement the necessary plans for both the program and the individuals within it
- Design, facilitate and deliver workshops to address the contemporary issues faced by high performance athletes, particularly in the areas of enhancing their performance capabilities and capacity to manage transitions.
- Partner with the Artistic Director regularly to manage individual dancer's wellbeing and performance action plans
- Plan, deliver and review Performance Lifestyle projects with key internal and external stakeholders
- Implement and review policies and procedures that are aligned to support the holistic development, safety, and protection of Dancers.
- Maintain and coordinate company psychologist and other support services
- Provide appropriate first incident response to dancers who present with professional and personal issues
- Manage 1st and 2nd year dancer mentor and high-performance development programs
- Work with the Artistic Health Team to coordinate rehabilitation plans and support services
- Maintain timely and accurate reporting including monthly de-identified status reports to the Artistic Director and Director of Artist Health
- Tour with company as required upon advice from Director of Artistic Health

**Qualifications, Skills and Abilities**
- Relevant Tertiary Degree qualification - Education, Career Development, Counselling, Psychology, Health, Human Resources
- Awareness of the contemporary issues relating to athletes and coaches within high performance environments, and understanding of Australian High Performance sport systems
- Experience of working collaboratively in Interdisciplinary Teams
- Ability to build rapport and empathy with Dancers, coaches and support staff
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience working with and knowledge of education providers in Australia - School, Tertiary, TAFE and other registered training organisations.
- Experience in workshop delivery and development of educational material for athletic Interdisciplinary teams and athletes.
- High level communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs and other athlete management suites.
