**The Opportunity**

Our **Mining newbuild team** has an exciting opportunity for a **Workshop Heavy Equipment Diesel Fitter** to join the Hitachi family This role will be **based in Wacol **and will require you to focus on all aspects of HD mechanics and fitting. You will be in charge of working within** all aspects of diagnostic, maintenance and repairs on our world class machinery.**

**About You**:

- Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
- Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Mobile Plant, Fitter Machinist **_or_** Heavy Diesel trade qualifications **_or_** Experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic looking to move into mining and construction machinery industry **_or _**you have just completed mobile plant apprenticeship and you are looking to learn OEM machinery
- Ability to be technical and mechanically experience / aptitude
- Good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Having experienced within a similar role or in a workshop environment would be highly advantageous
