**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the
**Mine Geologist** will provide accurate and timely predictive geological, geochemical, and physical data in the aim of producing conforming product stockpile builds to a defined chemical and physical specification and in accordance with the mining and stockpile build plans. In addition, you will assist in the development of documentation, systems, and processes during the development stage of the mine.You will be responsible for delivering optimal grade to the plant through accurate identification of mineralization, delineation of ore blocks, and supervision of extraction to minimize dilution. To do this, you will need to understand and develop the geological environment and provide support and directions to the mining team, our mining contractor and all operational staff on geological matters. This is a permanent and full time opportunity and will operate on an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assist in the design, implementation, scheduling and supervision of RC grade control drilling programs
- Modelling sample data results
- Develop ore and waste mark-outs
- Provide all plans, instructions and reports to relevant stakeholders
- Interpret and process grade control data
- Ensure material is delivered on grade
- Update geological mapping
- Contribute to end of month processing and reconciliation
- Assist with exploration activities, including drill core processing and sampling
- Provide supervision and technical guidance to Graduate Mine Geologist and Pit Technicians

**ABOUT YOU**:

- BSc degree or MSc in Geological/Geosciences
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in open pit hard rock mining in a similar position
- Solid experience in the use of Surpac and modelling software is essential
- Experienced in stockpile management
- Experienced in RC grade control design and supervision
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement
- Previous experience in pegmatite-hosted deposits highly regarded
- Previous experience with a production management system highly regarded
- Basic database and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills
- Current WA C-class manual driver’s licence
