Pounds + Ounces is a busy cafe in the new K Block at Royal Hobart Hospital. We have a strong focus on specialty coffee that we roast ourselves, with a range of in house made fresh and healthy food.

We’re looking for an experienced barista who is passionate about specialty coffee who will also like to develop their skills with our head roaster and barista trainer.

You will be in charge of quality control on our La Marzocco PB ABR, Mythos grinders, Mocamaster and EK43.

We are looking for someone who is:

- Passionate about quality coffee with experience in creating espresso and batch brew recipes
- Warm and welcoming to all customers
- Experienced in fast paced environments
- Reliable

Good latte art skills will be preferred and a passion for great coffee will be necessary.

It will help if you have experience working in fast paced environments and are naturally friendly.

We roast our own coffee and our food is a combination of freshly made, quality produce that has been locally and ethically sourced where possible.
