Head of Finance

**THE ROLE**

We are looking for a passionate and commercial Head of Finance to lead our Finance function. Reporting directly to our CFO, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Finance function and driving the strategic direction for the function, in collaboration with the CFO & Business owners.

In addition you will identify and implement systems, policies and processes to improve financial monitoring, accountability and growth.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead and develop the Finance team
- Develop, implement and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function
- Month-end reporting
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheet & Profit and Loss Statements
- Commentary around variance to budget
- Liaise with External Accountants and Auditors in Preparation of Statutory accounts
- Support with preparation of Annual budgets
- Performing ad hoc analysis pro-actively or as directed, to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus appropriate resource allocation
- Sumit taxations reports including BAS - PAYG & GST, FBT, Payroll Tax
- Knowledge of the Payroll processes

**ABOUT YOU**

We are looking for someone who is relationship-focused and operationally-minded, who can effectively communicate about financial matters with various stakeholders.

To be successful in this role:

- Accounting qualifications (CAANZ or CPA) and 5+ years demonstrated experience within Accounting
- Demonstrated experience leading Finance teams/departments
- Strong financial reporting and tax experience
- Previous experience with or knowledge of Payroll processes highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to identify trends, opportunities and innovative ways to build business
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
