**About Us**:
Rivergum Support is a small, family ran organisation based in Maryborough VIC, providing support for NDIS funded participant in 1:1 care in home and the community. As well as Respite and school holiday program.

As a support worker, you will be tasked to support individuals living with ongoing psychosocial, emotional, and practical support needs. You will also be tasked to help these individuals identify, work toward, and reach their day-to-day goals. Your scope of work will involve supporting participants' independent living in their homes and assisting them in accessing the community.
- Following the participant's care plan, supporting participants to live independently in their homes and the community
- Assisting with medications and other healthcare-related needs within your scope of work
- Assisting participants to attend their appointments
- Assisting with personal hygiene tasks such as assisting with bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assisting participants with daily living activities such as cooking meals, cleaning, and shopping
- Making sure that a safe environment is provided for the participants by monitoring their surroundings for hazards, such as fire hazards or falling hazards
- Organising activities such as arts and crafts projects, games, and outings for clients

**About You**:

- You will need to be able to work in a close team environment as well as independently.
- You will need to have genuine care and compassion to want to help others
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing to perform light domestic duties
- Attention to detail
- Patient and empathetic
- Friendly, kind, and tolerant of others
- Current Drivers Licence
- Registered and insured vehicle

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $24.16 - $32.40 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Flexible hours
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Maryborough, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Screening Check (required)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
