**About the opportunity**

The Student Services and Operation division is looking for a Facilities Service Officer (Waste) to join their Campus Services team.

The Campus Services team is passionate about sustainability and sharing their knowledge. They contribute toward creating a university culture that is safe and supportive, enabling our community to flourish.

As our new Facilities Services Officer, you will work within the Campus Services unit Facilities Management and directly support the efforts of the Waste and Cleaning Contract Manager.

You will also support the day-to-day waste operations, Reuse Program and Recycling Walls.

This role will require travel between our northern campuses to deliver services, so a driver’s license is essential.

**What you’ll do**:

- Work request management, which includes but not limited to, system input and allocation of work.
- Liaise with internal stake holders and respond promptly to waste requests and enquiries.
- Assist with waste education with internal and external services providers.
- Movement and transportation of waste bins from internal areas to external areas and or waste hubs.
- Assist with cataloguing, portering/movement/transportation of furniture and equipment from the Re-Use Programme.
- Assist with the management of recycling walls including emptying of walls and data entry.
- Assist with the coordination for the provision waste services for events, conference, and functions.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Relevant experience, or experience and specialist expertise, or an equivalent combination of experience and /or education/training.
- Demonstrated high level organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously to ensure successful outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to carry out numerous manual handling tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment.

**Salary details**

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $88,479 comprising base salary within the range of $71,387 to $75,623 plus 17% superannuation (pro rata).
