**Position Title**: Experienced Community Support Worker
**Location**: South and north adelaide

**The Role**

We are seeking an **experienced support worker** to provide flexible, person-centred support to both children and adults in the community. You’ll work one-on-one with clients who may be navigating mental health issues, trauma, or complex life situations, helping them to achieve their goals, build life skills, and participate fully in their communities. Hours will be low to begin with with potential to grow if you are the right fit.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide practical, emotional, and social support in a community setting.
- Support clients to build daily living and interpersonal skills, manage routines, and access education, health services, and social/recreational activities.
- Assist with behaviour support plans and strategies where required.
- Create a safe, empowering space for clients from all walks of life.
- Collaborate with families, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Keep accurate records, including case notes and incident reports.

**About You**
- At least 1-2 years of experience supporting people with mental health challenges and/or complex life backgrounds.
- Strong experience with both children and adults.
- Certificate III or IV in Community Services, Mental Health, or a related field (or working towards it).
- Trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and confident in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies.
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).
- Working With Children Check (required).
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (required).

**Highly Regarded**
- Mental Health First Aid certification.
- Experience supporting clients with trauma, psychosocial disabilities, or behavioural needs.
- Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and/or other culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
- Training in positive behaviour support or complex care.

Pay: $35.01 - $77.03 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 10 per week
