Join our **Downer Professional Services**team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.

**Downer Professional Services**is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for a **Data, Codification and Cataloguing Consultant**based in Canberra to support Defence logistics by codifying items using MC-CAT and cataloguing them in ERP systems to ensure accurate inventory and supply chain data.

**What You’ll Do**

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

- Codify materiel items using MC-CAT in accordance with Defence standards.
- Catalogue items in ERP systems to maintain accurate and compliant records.
- Liaise with stakeholders to verify item data and ensure correct classification.
- Maintain data integrity across codification and cataloguing processes.Support continuous improvement of logistics data management practices.

**What You’ll Bring**
- Proven experience in codification and cataloguing within Defence or similar environments.
- Knowledge of MC-CAT and ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of inventory data standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Desirable: Formal qualifications in logistics, supply chain, or data management.
- Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be an inherent requirement.
