**The Opportunity**
Join the Procurement Services Directorate, part of the Commercial and Contract Management Division to support medium-risk construction contracts, managing the end-to-end procurement process to ensure compliance with government policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring compliance with government policies and delivering value for money.
- Work closely with stakeholders, providing expert advice and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
- Contribute to community-focused projects within a team that values innovation and excellence.

This role requires adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver meaningful outcomes in a changing and fast paced environment.

**About You**
To successful in this role, you’ll need:

- **Procurement Planning & Implementation**: Plans, implements, and coordinates procurement activities for construction contracts across the Department.
- **Report Preparation & Recommendations**: Coordinates procurement processes, preparing reports and recommendations on purchasing matters of complexity and sensitivity.
- **Stakeholder Management**:Coordinates resources and manages stakeholder expectations and requirements throughout the procurement process to achieve outcomes and objectives.

**Special Conditions**
- A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
- Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

**Tenure of Vacancy**
Temporary appointment up to 12 months (with an option for the role to be made ongoing)

**Remuneration**
ASO5 - $ 85,790 to $ 95,413 pa + superannuation.
